Steps to Order Element Payment Services and Integrate it with The Studio Director
- If you have not already done so, e-mail us at support@thestudiodirector.com and let us know that you would like Element Payment to contact you. Be sure to leave us a phone number where you can be reached.
- After you have been set up by Element Payment, they will e-mail you a login to their core management system.
- Log into their core management system (http://www.coremanagementsystem.com) using the login in the welcome e-mail.
- Click on the virtual terminal link
- Click on the profile link
- Under the POS information section, there will be some credentials (AccountID, AccountToken, and AcceptorID)
- While keeping the window to the core management system open, open a window to the Studio Director.
- Click on the Admin tab.
- Under the Manage Studio Information section, click on Enter Merchant Login.
- For the gateway, select Element Payment Services.
- Copy the AccountID, AccountToken, and AcceptorID from the core management system into the Studio Director.
- Click OK.
- We will be notified. We will integrate your account, and then we will e-mail you some information about the credit card feature.
Security Considerations
With emerging compliance standards from different card brands, it is critical that credit card numbers are stored securely by using merchant gateways that have implemented the newest data security compliance standards of the major card associations - including CISP, PCI, and PA-DSS. The Studio Director has partnered with some of the largest, most respected merchant gateway companies that specialize in storing and keeping your customer's credit card information secure ( Element Payment Services, Cybersource or PayPal).
When evaluating software options, consider your risk of using software programs that store credit card numbers on your PC or on an Internet server that doesn't comply with these standards. Reducing the risk of fines from the card associations or losing the ability to process cards is well worth the additional cost.
